A Short Interview -Beverly Mahone
The following is a short interview regarding the Baby Boomer Retreat and Beverly Mahone who is the founder of the Baby Boomer DIVA's. This weekend, April 18 to 20th, she will be hosting the Spring Retreat to be held in Daytona Beach, Florida. Beverly is a well known radio talk show host and blogger. You may have heard her on http://www.blogtalkradio.com/passions
Kathryn: Beverly, when did you get started in Communications and did you take classes in college to help? When did you start interviewing people?
Beverly: My favorite subject in school was always English and I always had the gift of gab according to my mother. I knew “way back when” that I would make a living through my writing and public speaking. And over the years, that dream turned into a reality. From the moment I entered Ohio University, I was on the journalism track and I've continued to move forward ever since. I stated interviewing fellow classmates when I was in junior high school as a reporter for my school newspaper.
Kathryn: What got you started with the idea of a Baby Boomer Retreat anyway?
Beverly: I wanted a way for members of Boomer Diva Nation to connect with each other and fellow women who are on the move and making a difference.
Kathryn: If you had this to do all over again, what would you do differently in preparing for the Retreat in Daytona?
Beverly: I would have a FULL STAFF! I would've also considered starting in an area closer to my home state because it was quite a challenge trying to plan an event hundreds of miles away when I really didn't have any contacts there.
Yesterday the blog tour was at Terri’s blog at http://www.roadtodiva.blogspot.com/
And tomorrow the blog tour will end at Betty’s blog at http://www.mycountrykitchen.com/
Beverly has been very busy getting ready for the retreat and all the Baby Boomer DIVA's are excited to be a part of the fun time we'll be having in Daytona Beach, Fl.
